BAYINFERENCE: Monsoon strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
SPECIAL FEATURES: According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Typhoon “RAGASA” has crossed costal area of Guangdong, South China Sea has moved Westwards and downgrad into a Severe Tropical Storm “RAGASA” over boundary of Guangxi, South China. It is likely continute to crossed as Tropical Storm during next 6 hrs. Thereafter, it may pass over the northern part of Vietnam as a tropical depression during next 24 hours.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 25th September 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing Region, Kachin, Kayah and Northern Shan States, , fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region, Chin, Rakhine, Easthern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Magway, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing Yangon, Magway, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Chin, Mon, Rakhine, Southern Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Occasionally squalls with rough seas will be experienced in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 35 mph. Wave height will be about 10-12 feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 30 mph. Wave height will be about 9-11 feet off and along Rakhine Coast.
