SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing Region and Kachin, Northern Shan States, scattered in Eastern Shan State, fairly widespread in Rakhine State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Magway Region and Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Ayeyarwady Regions. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 8.27 inches in Ye, 7.52 inches in Hpa-an, 6.81 inches in Hpa-an(Agro-Met), 6.50 inches in Kamamaung, 5.83 inches in Thaton, 5.50 inches in Paing Kyone, 5.04 inches in Kyeikkhame, 4.45 inches in Pantanaw, 4.21 inches in Taungdwingyi and 4.02 inches in Paung.

BAYINFERENCE:  Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEATURES: According to the observations at 10:30 hrs MST today, the Severe Tropical Storm “RAGASA” crossing Southern part of Guangxi, South China has moved Westwards and downgraded into a Tropical Storm “RAGASA” and it is crossing into Guangxi. It is likely continute to move Westwards and it may continue to pass over the northern part of Vietnam as a tropical depression during next 12 hours.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 26th September 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Kachin, Northern Shan States, scattered in Sagaing Region and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Rakhine, Eastern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Chin, Mon States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Occasionally squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 35 mph. Wave height will be about 10-12 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts. 

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuations of increase of rain in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon, Shan States.
