BAYINFERENCE: Southwest monsoon has been withdrawn from the Central Myanmar areas. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
Special Features: According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, the Typhoon “BUALOI” over the South China Sea has moved West-Northwestwards and it is centered at about 80 Nautical miles North-Northwest of Da Nang and 140 Nautical miles Southeast of Vinh (Vietnam). It is likely continue to move West-Northwestwards and cross over the northern coastal areas of Vietnam near Dong Hoi between Vinh and Da Nang as a Severe Tropical Strom “BUALOI” on tonight. And then, it may continue to cross the boundary areas of Vietnam and Laos as a Tropical Storm “BUALOI” on 29-9-2025, a Tropical Depression over Laos on 30-9-2025.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 29th September 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Northern Shan States, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah, Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Lower Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin, Rakhine States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Occasionally squalls with rough seas will be experienced in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 35 mph. Wave height will be about 10-12 feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 25-30 mph. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet off and along Rakhine Coast.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Rain or thundershowers with isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon, Shan States.
