SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions, fairly widespread in Bago Region, scattered in Yangon, Magway Regions and Kayin, Mon, Eastern Shan States, isolated in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Lower Sagaing Regions and Chin State and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Kayin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 3.66 inches in Kamamaung, 2.20 inches in Kawthaung, 1.97 inches in Myeik, 1.46 inches in Danubyu, 1.30 inches in Madauk, 0.94 inch in Coco Island, 0.91 inch in Yangon(Kaba-Aye), 0.79 inch in Dawei, 0.75 inch in Hlaingbwe and 0.51 inch in Yangon(Mingaladon).

BAYINFERENCE:  Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Special Features: According to the observations at 10:30 hrs MST today, the Severe Tropical Storm “BUALOI” over the inland areas of Vietnam has moved West-Northwestwards and continue to crossing boundary areas of Vietnam and Laos. It is forecast likely continue to move West-Northwestwards and may continue to cross the boundary areas of northern parts of Laos as a Tropical Storm “BUALOI” on today evening, boundary areas of Laos and Myanmar as a  Tropical Depression on morning of 30-9-2025.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 30th September 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Magway, Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Chin States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region and Rakhine, Northern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Bago Regions and Kayin, Mon, (Southern and Eastern)Shan States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Occasionally squalls with rough seas will be experienced in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 35 mph. Wave height will be about 10-12 feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 25-30 mph. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet in off and along Rakhine Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Mon, Shan States.
