SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Chin State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Rakhine State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 2.86 inches in Ywangan, 2.80 inches in Loikaw, 2.55 inches in Lashio, 2.09 inches in Theinzayet, 2.01 inches in Machanbaw, 1.69 inches in Pyinoolwin, 1.45 inches in Tachileik, 1.42 inches in Myitkyina, 1.34 inches in Putao and 1.28 inches in Mongpan.

BAYINFERENCE:  According to the observations at 10:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over the Westcentral Bay of Bengal has  intensified into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area. It is likely to move Northwestwards and intensify into a depression over the Westcentral Bay and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal on 2-10-2025 and may cross into the South Odisha-North Andhra Pradesh coasts on 3-10-2025. Monsoon is moderate over the the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay and strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 2nd October 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kayah, Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing Yangon, Bago, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine, Eastern Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squall with rough seas will be experienced in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 35 mph. Wave height will be about 10-12 feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 25-30 mph. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.
