BAYINFERENCE: According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the well marked low pressure area over the Westcentral Bay of Bengal has moved North-Northwestwards and still persists. It is likely to continue to move North-Northwestwards and further intensify into a depression during next 12 hours. Thereafter, it may further intensify into a deep depression and may cross into the South Odisha-North Andhra Pradesh coasts on 2-10-2025.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 2nd October 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kayah, Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine, Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squall with rough seas will be experienced in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 35 mph. Wave height will be about 10-12 feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 25-30 mph. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.
