SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Chin, Eastern Shan States, fairly widespread in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Southern Shan State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Bago, Magway Regions and Kayin, Rakhine, Northern Shan States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Magway Region. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 1.77 inches in Kyonepyaw, 1.57 inches in Thayat, 1.30 inches in Hakha, 1.10 inches in Aunglan, 0.91 inch in Kalewa, 0.79 inch in Magway, 0.67 inch in Ngathaichaung, 0.63 inch each in Tiddim and Mongyang and 0.59 inch each in Homalin and Monyin.

BAYINFERENCE:   Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEATURES: : According to the observations at 12:30 hrs MST today, the Severe Tropical Storm “MATMO” crossing over the northern part of Philippines is likely continue to move West-Northwestwards and may further intensify into a Typhoon “MATMO” over the South China Sea on 4-10-2025.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 4th October 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin, Mon, Rakhine, Shan States and fairly widespread in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing Taninthayi Region and Kachin State. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 6-8 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: : Likelihood of increase of rain in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States.
