BAYINFERENCE : Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
SPECIAL FEATURES: : According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Severe Tropical Storm “MATMO” over the South China sea is moving west-northwestwards and may further intensify into a Typhoon “MATMO” during next 6 hours. Thereafter it is likely continue to move west-northwestwards and may cross into the Guangdong coastal areas of China on 5-10-2025.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 5th October 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Northern Shan State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing Region and Chin, Rakhine States and fairly widespread in Bago Region and Kachin, Kayah, (Southern and Eastern)Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Kachin State. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing Yangon, Bago, Magway, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 6-8 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
