SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Rakhine State. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw, Bago Region and Kayah State, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Kayin, (Northern and Southern)Shan States, fairly widespread in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 2.13 inches in Putao, 1.89 inches in Tiddim, 1.73 inches in Kyeikkhame, 1.57 inches in Machanbaw, 1.49 inches in Monyin, 1.42 inches in Ye, 1.39 inches in Myitkyina, 1.27 inches in Kyeikmayaw, 1.14 inches in Mawlamyine and 1.02 inches in Mudon.
BAYINFERENCE: Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 9th October 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Bago, Upper Sagaing Regions and Chin, Southern Shan States and fairly widespread in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin, Rakhine, (Northern and Eastern)Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-6 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Weak monsoon.
