SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw, fairly widespread in Bago and Taninthayi Regions, widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Kayin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Kamamaung (4.50)inches, Sittwe (2.48)inches, Maungdaw and Hpa-an (2.24)inches each, Maubin and Loikaw (2.17)inches each, Namsam (1.81)inches, Kyeikmayaw (1.75)inches, Mogoke (1.58) inches, Kya-In-Seikkyi (1.56)inches, Myeik (1.53)inches, Mindat, Kyauktaw and Kyaukpyu (1.46)inches each and Shwebo (1.38)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Very Severe Cyclonic Storm “TITLI” still persists as a Severe Cyclonic Storm over land. It is forecast to move Northeastwards and weaken gradually.Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and cloudy over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 12th October, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Naypyitaw and Taninthayi Region and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Chin and Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate to rough elsewhere in Myanmar waters.Wave height will be about (9 - 12) feet Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts and about (6-9)feet Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Kachin, Chin and Rakhine States.
