SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Kachin and Rakhine States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing Region and Chin State, scattered in Mandalay and Taninthayi Regions, (Northern and Southern) Shan and Kayah States, isolated in Magway and Bago Regions, Eastern Shan State and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Mogaung (2.17)inches, Thandwe (1.85)inches, Myitkyina (1.33)inches, Bhamo and Ann (1.26)inches each, Myauk U (1.22)inches and Katha (1.18)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 16th October, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Taninthayi Region, Kachin and Shan States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4 - 6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Decrease of rain in the whole country.
