SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and isolated in Bago and Yangon Regions, Kayin and Mon States. Weather has been generally fair in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, Northern Shan State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (3°C) below November average temperature in Northern Shan State and (2°C) below November average temperatures in Lower Sagaing Region and Kachin State, (2°C) above November average temperatures in Bago Region and Kayin State and (3°C) above November average temperature in Mon State and about November average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (6°C) in Hakha, (7°C) in Ramthlo, (9°C) each in Putao, Thipaw, Heho and Tiddim. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Kawthaung (0.83)inch, Coco Island (0.39)inch and Myeik (0.24)inch.
BAY INFERENCE: : According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining North Andaman Sea has intensified into a depression. It is central at about (13)miles Northwest of Portblair, about (720)miles East-Southeast of Chennai (India) and about (155)miles South-Southwest of Coco-Island (Myanmar). Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 11th November, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region, scattered in Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kayin and Mon States and isolated in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway and Bago Regions, Shan, Rakhine and Kayah States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be rough sea are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40)mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8-10)feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and about (5-7) feet in off and along Rakhine Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of scattered to fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, (Southern and Eastern) Shan, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States.
