18-11-2025: According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Sri Lanka has reached over Comorin area. Weather is generally fair over the North Bay, a few cloud over the Westcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain has been isolated in Eastern Shan State, weather has been generally fair in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Magway and Ayeyarwady Regions, Chin and Kayin States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) below January average temperatures in Sagaing Region and Kachin State, (2°C) above January average temperatures in Bago Region and Kayah State, (4°C) above January average temperatures in Eastern Shan, Kayin and Mon States and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (-1°C) in Hakha, (2°C) in Putao, (3°C) in Heho, (4°C) each in Tiddim, Ramthlo and Pyinoolwin, (5°C) each in Thipaw, Naungcho, Pinlaung, Tongzan and Mogoke. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded was Mongyang (0.16)inch.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is generally fair over the North Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEATURES: According to the observations at (13:30) hrs MST today, the Tropical depression over the South China Sea is centered at about (330)miles Southeast of Ho Chi Minh (Vietnam) and moving Southwest wards.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 2nd January, 2019: Rain will be isolated in Taninthayi Region and Shan State, Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3-5) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts. 

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of continuation of rain in Shan State.
