SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Taninthayi Region, Kachin and Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) above January average temperature in Kayin State, (3°C) below January average temperatures in Yangon Region, (Northern and Eastern) Shan State and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (1°C) in Hakha, (2°C) each in Thipaw and Heho, (3°C) in Mongyang, (4°C) each in Namsam, Pinlaung and Mogoke, (5°C) each in Lashio, Naungcho, Loilin, Ramthlo and Pyinoolwin.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the Equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining South Bay of Bengal still persists. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 26th January, 2019: Weather will be partly cloudy in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions and Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3-5) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Sagaing Region, Kachin and Shan States.
