4-11-2025: According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, the well marked low pressure area over the Northeast Bay and adjoining Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and off and along Rakhine coasts still persist. It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and may reach over the Northeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining off and along Northern Rakhine coasts, Myanmar and coastal area of Bangladesh on 5-11-2025. Weather is cloudy over the North Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Taninthayi Region and (Northern and Eastern)Shan State. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw, Mandalay and Bago Regions, Southern Shan, Kayah and Mon States, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Magway and Yangon Regions, Kayin State, fairly widespread in Ayeyarwady Region and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (1.69) inches each in Homalin and Taungkok, (1.54) inches each in Hkamti and Tamu, (1.45) inches in Sittwe, (1.42) inches each in Putao and Kyauktaw, (1.38) inches in Machanbaw, (1.14) inches in Kyaukpyu, (1.10) inches in Paletwa and (1.02) inches each in Myauk U and Manaung.

BAY INFERENCE:  Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Bay and  partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEATURES: According to the observations at (12:30) hrs MST today, the Severe Tropical Storm “Saudel” over the South China Sea is centered at about (85) miles North of Danang (Vietnam). It is forecast to move westwards and cross the upper Vietnam tonight.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 26th October, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in  Taninthayi Region, Chin and  Rakhine States, scattered in Sagaing, Bago, Yangon and  Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Southern Shan, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in Bago, Yangon,  Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States.
