BAY INFERENCE: : According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining off West Bengal-Odisha coasts(India) still persists. It is likely to move west-northwestwards across North Odisha and South Jharkhand during next (48)hrs. Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 20th September 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Kayah State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40) mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8-10) feet in in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast and (5-7) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coast.
