SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been fairy widespread in Kachin State. Weather has been generally fair in Kayah, Chin, Rakhine States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were 4°C below January average temperature in Rakhine State, 2°C below January average temperature in Chin State and 2°C above January average temperatures in Mandalay, Lower Sagaing Regions and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were 0.0°C in Hakha, 3.3°C in Namsan(Southern Shan), 4.0°C in Loilin, 4.7°C in Tiddim, 5.2°C in Myitkyina, 5.4°C in Heho, 5.7°C in Pyinoolwin, 7.4°C in Pinlaung, 8.0°C in Taunggyi and 9.7°C in Mongyang. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 0.12 inch in Machanbaw and 0.08 inch each in Putao and Myitkyina.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 10thJanuary 2025: Weather will be partly cloudy in Yangon, Mandalay, Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon, Shan States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar Waters. Wave height will be about 4-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Chin, Shan States.
