SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay and Magway Regions, Shan and Kayah States, scattered in Lower Sagaing Region and Chin State, fairly widespread in Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Kyainseikkyi (3.50)inches, Kyeikkhame (3.43)inches, Gwa (3.11)inches, Yay (2.87)inches, Mudon (2.48)inches, Nyaunglaybin and Phyu (2.32)inches each, Kyauktaw (2.13)inches and Myitkyina (1.96) inches.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate in the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 1st September, 2015: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Mandalay and Magway Regions, Kayah State, scattered in Lower Sagaing Region and Shan State, fairly widespread in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of increase of rain in the Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State.
