SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Shan (South and North) State, scattered in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Eastern Shan and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Rakhine State and isolated heavy falls in Chin State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Kyauktaw (7.32)inches, Kyaukpyu (4.73)inches, Maungdaw (4.26)inches, Myauk U (4.02)inches, Thandwe (3.58)inches, Paletwa (3.15)inches, Manaung (2.76)inches, Yangon (Northern Dagon) (2.40)inches, Ann (2.28)inches, Homalin (2.05)inches, Sittwe and Taungkok (1.93)inches each and Kawkayeit (1.89)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 4th July, 2016: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Shan (East and South) State, Taninthayi Region, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Northern Shan, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavy falls in Rakhine State and isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and Chin States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) m.p.h. Seas will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of increase of rain in Rakhine Coast.
