29-10-2025:According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Severe Cyclonic Storm “MONTHA” over the Westcentral Bay of Bengal has moved West-Northwestwards and crossed Andhra Pradesh Coast, near South Kakinada, India. It is likely continue to move Northwestwards and downgrade into a Cyclonic Storm during next 6 hours and gradually weaken into a Depression during next 12 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the Northeast Bay and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Kayah State, rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and Mon State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay and Yangon Regions, Kachin and (Eastern and Northern) Shan States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Hkamti (5.39) inches, Moekok (2.36)inches, Myitkyina (1.66)inches, Phyarpon (1.06)inches, Aunglan (0.67)inch and Lashio (0.59)inch.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 20th July, 2016: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Yangon Region, Shan, Chin, Kayin and Mon States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State. STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters.
