28-10-2025:According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Severe Cyclonic Storm “MONTHA” over the Westcentral Bay of Bengal has moved North-Northwestwards still persists. It is centered at about 630 Nautical miles West of Coco Island (Myanmar), 210 Nautical miles Northeast of Chennai(India) and 70 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Kakinada (India).Weather is a few cloud over the Northeast Bay and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE:  Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 26th August, 2016: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Magway and Ayeyarwady Regions, Shan, Chin, Rakhine and Kayah States and fairly widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA:  Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters.
