26-10-2025:According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Deep Depression over Southeast Bay of Bengal has moved West-Northwestwards. It is centered at about 415 Nautical miles Southwest of Coco Island (Myanmar), 405 Nautical miles East-Southeast of Chennai(India), 430 Nautical miles Southeast of Kakinada (India). It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and may intensify into a Cyclonic Storm may form over the Southwest Bay and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal during next 24 hours, Severe Cyclonic Storm may form on 28-10-2025 and may cross Andhra Pradesh Coast on that night. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay, partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours,

rain have been isolated in Northern Shan and Chin States and partly cloudy to cloudy in the remaining

Regions and States. Night temperatures were (5°C) above December average temperature in Kayah

State, (4°C) above December average temperatures in Mandalay and Bago Regions, Shan, Chin and

Rakhine States and about December average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States.

The significant night temperature was (9°C) in Loilin. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded

was Lashio (0.28)inch.

 

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (09:00) hrs MST today, the depression over

Southwest Bay of Bengal has crossed North Tamilnadu coast (India) near South of Karaikal.

Weather is partly cloudy over the Southwest Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman

Sea and elsewhere Bay of Bengal.

 

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 3rd December, 2016: Likelihood of isolated rain

or thundershowers in Taninthayi Region, Northern Shan and Rakhine States and weather will be

partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (60%).

 

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Mon –

Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (35)m.p.h. Seas will be moderate

elsewhere in Myanmar waters.

 

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Isolated rain or thundershowers in Taninthayi Region.
