BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (06:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the Taninthayi coast and adjoining North Andaman Sea still persists. Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and generally fair elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTILAFTERNOON OF THE 12th January, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region, Kayin and Mon States, isolated in Bago and Yangon Regions, Shan (East and South) and Kayah States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin and Northern Shan States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon - Taninthayi Coast. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) m.p.h. Seas will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of continuation of rain in Taninthayi Region, Kayin and Mon States.
