3-9-2025:: According to the observations at 17:30 hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the northwest Bay of Bengal off North Odisha coast still persists. It is likely to move west-northwestwards and cross North Odisha and adjoining Jharkhand and North Chhattisgarh, India during next 24 hrs.Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

A slight earthquake of magnitude (4.5) Richter Scale with its epicenter inside Myanmar (about (19) miles southwest of Phyu), latitude 18.35°N, longitude 96.18°E, depth (7)kilometers about (102)miles north of Kaba-Aye seismological observatory was recorded at (14)hr (13)min (27)sec M.S.T. on 17^th January, 2018.
