15-10-2024:According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the well marked low pressure area over South Bay of Bengal has moved West-Northwestwards and reached over Southwest Bay and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to continue to move West-Northwestwards and may further intensify into a depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal during next (12) hrs and may reach to North Tamil Nadu and adjoining South Andhra Pradesh coasts, India around 17-10-2024 morning.

According to the observations at (17:30)hrs MST today, due to the Western disturbance, development of cumulonimbus clouds, the low pressure cell over the Southeast Bangladesh and the cloud moving from the East, rain or thundershowers are likely to be widespread in Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States with likelihood of regionally and isolated heavyfalls and scattered to fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon Regions and Shan, Kayah States and strong wind from tonight to 6-10-2024.

 People should be awared the natural disasters such as the heavy rainfall with strong wind, thunder, Lightning strike, lightning, hails, flash flood and landslide in the hilly areas and near small rivers and inland water transport and domestic flight.
