BAYINFERENCE: Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea, South Bay and  Eastcentral Bay and moderate to strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 26^th May 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Sagaing Region and Kachin, Kayah, Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin, Mon, Southern Shan States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experience in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 35 mph. Wave height will be about 9-11 feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Squalls with moderate to rough sea are likely at times elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 25-30 mph.  Wave height will be about 7-9 feet off and along Rakhine Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuations of increase of rain in Yangon, Bago, Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon, Rakhine States.
