BAYINFERENCE: Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay and moderate to strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
Special Features: According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Severe Troipical Storm“(WUTIP)” crossed to the Coastal areas of Guangdong Province, Southern part of China and has been moving Northeastwards and is likely gradually weaken over interior of China.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 15th June 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Magway, Sagaing Regions and Kayah, (Northern and Eastern) Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Bago, Magway, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Occassional squalls with rough seas will be experienced in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 35 mph. Wave height will be about 9-12 feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30 mph. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet off and along Rakhine Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated heavy rain or thundershowers in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon, Rakhine States.
