SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Chin State, scattered in Kayah State, fairly widespread in Kachin, Northern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Kayin State and isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Magway, Upper Sagaing Regions and Mon, Rakhine States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 7.40 inches in Belin, 6.46 inches in Hpa-an(Agro-Met), 5.63 inches in Sittwe, 5.55 inches in Hpa-an, 5.32 inches in Homalin, 5.04 inches in Paung, 4.88 inches in Theinzayet, 4.61 inches in Kawkareik, 4.46 inches in Coco Island and 2.95 inches in Ngapudaw.

BAYINFERENCE:  Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 29th June 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Chin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Bago, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon, Rakhine States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Occassional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 35 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 11-13 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Bago, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon, Rakhine States.
