SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Kayah State, scattered in Lower Sagaing Region and Kayin, Northern Shan States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Upper Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Mon, Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Kachin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 4.41 inches in Mogaung, 3.78 inches in Myitkyina, 2.28 inches in Mongyang, 1.26 inches in Mongkhat, 1.24 inches in Tachileik, 1.15 inches in Monghpyak, 1.10 inches each in Kalewa, Hakha and Kyeikmayaw, 1.06 inches in Putao and 1.02 inches in Lashio.
BAYINFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
Special Weather: According to the observations at 12:30 hrs M.S.T today, the well marked low pressure over Southwest Bangladesh and adjoining Gangetic West Bengal (India) still persists. It is likely to move Northwest wards concentrate into a Land Depression during next 24 hours.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 15th July 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in lower Saging Region and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kayin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Bago, Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Bago, Magway, Upper Sagaing, Taninythayi Regions and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine (Northern and Southern)Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 25-30 mph. Wave height will be about 7-9 feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, (Northern and Eastern) Shan States.
