BAYINFERENCE:  Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 9th August 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Kayah State, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Northern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Naypyitaw and isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon, Eastern Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 5-8 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Strong monsoon.

FORECAST FOR NAYPYITAW AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 9th August 2025:    One or two rain or thundershowers. Degree of certainty is 100%.

FORECAST FOR YANGON AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 9th August 2025:        One or two rain or thundershowers. Degree of certainty is 100%.

FORECAST FOR MANDALAY AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 9th August 2025:     Isolated rain or thundershowers. Degree of certainty is 100%.

WEATHER OUTLOOK FOR WEEKEND: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Naypyitaw, Yangon Region and scattered in Mandalay Region.
