BAYINFERENCE: According to the observations at 17:30 hrs M.S.T today, a low pressure area over the Northwest  Bay of Bengal (off Odisha Coast, India) still persists. It is likely to move West–Northwestwards and further intensify. Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate to strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Special Features: According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, the Tropical Depression over the upper parts of Laos and adjoining  upper parts of Northern Thailand and has continue to crossed border regions of Laos and Thailand. It is likely continue to move westwards and downgrade into a low pressure cell over border regions of Thailand during next 6 hrs and downgrade into a wind wave over the border region of Thailand and Myanmar during next 12 hrs.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 27th August 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Lower  Sagaing Regions and Chin, Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Mon, (Southern and Eastern)Shan States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Chin, Mon, Rakhine, (Northern and Eastern)Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasionally squall with rough seas will be experienced in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coast. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 35 mph. Wave height will be about 10-12 feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coast. Squall with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 25-30 mph. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet in off and along Rakhine Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Moderate monsoon.
