16-2-2026:  According to the observations at 13:30 hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area has formed over the East Equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining South Bay of Bengal. It is likely to move west–northwestwards and further intensify over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean on 18-2-2026. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Bay of Bengal condition

A Low Pressure Area may form over the Bay of Bengal and its may further intensity into a depression. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

Rain Condition and Rainy days

Rain or thundershowers will be expected above normal in Sagaing Region, Kachin, (Northern and Southern)Shan, Chin and Rakhine States, about normal in Mandalay, Magway, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Eastern Shan, Kayah and Kayin States and below normal in Bago and Yangon Regions, Mon State.

Rainy days will be expected (5) to (7) days in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, (Northern and Southern)Shan, Chin and Rakhine States and (2) to (4) days in Lower Sagaing, Magway, Bago and Yangon  Regions, Eastern Shan, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States.
