24-10-2025:According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over the Southeast Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and may further intensify into a depression over Southeast and adjoining Central Bay of Bengal on 25-10-2025 and further into a Deep Depression on 26-10-2025 and into a Cyclonic Storm over the Southwest and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal on 27-10-2025. Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

The water levels of Ayeyarwady river are forecast to fall below the present water levels by about (1½-3) feet at Myitkyina, Bhamo, Shwegu, Katha, Thabeikkyin, Mandalay, Sagaing and Myinmu, and about (3-5) feet at Pakokku, Nyaung Oo, Chauk, Minbu, Magway, Aunglan, Pyay, Seiktha, Hinthada and Zalun.

 The water levels of Chindwin river are forecast to fall below the present water levels by about (2-3) feet at Hkamti, Homalin, Phaungpyin, Mawlaik, Kalewa, Minkin, Kani and Monywa.
