SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain have been widespread in Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Kachin and Shan States, fairly widespread in Chin State, scattered in Naypyitaw and Magway Region and isolated in Taninthayi Region and Kayah State and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) above December average temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Magway and Bago Regions, Kachin, Eastern Shan, Chin, Kayin and Mon States, (3°C) to (4°C) above December average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region, Shan (North and South) and Rakhine States and (7°C) above December average temperature in Kayah State and about December average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (5°C) in Mindat, (6°C) each in Hakha and Tiddim and (7°C) each in Heho, Tongzan and Pyinoolwin. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Ramthlo (0.71)inch, Hakha (0.59)inch, Kalewa and Muse (0.47)inch each, Mingin (0.43)inch, Falam and Myitsone (0.35)inch each and Monyin, Vaar, Kalay and Kanbalu (0.28)inch each.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 29th December, 2019: Rain will be fairly widespread in Shan State, scattered in Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Kachin, Chin and Kayah States and isolated in Naypyitaw, Magway, Bago and Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine State. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (5 – 8) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
