24-5-2024:According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, a depression over Central Bay of Bengal has moved North-Northeastwards and now lies over Eastcentral Bay of Bengal. It is centered at about (275) Nautical miles West-Northwest of Coco Island, (310) Nautical miles West of Hainggyigyun, (340) Nautical miles West-Southwest of Thandwe (Myanmar), (370) Nautical miles South-Southwest of Khepupara (Bangladesh), (350) Nautical miles South-Southeast of Sagar Island and (380) Nautical miles South of Canning (West Bangal, India). Monsoon is strong  over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay. Weather is partly cloudy over the North Bay and cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

EARTHQUAKE NEWS

A slight earthquake of magnitude (3.9) Richter Scale with its epicenter inside Myanmar (about (24) miles west of Mogaung), latitude 25.28°N, longitude 96.54°E, depth (37) kilometers, about (60) miles east of Myitkyina seismological observatory was recorded at (15) hr (52) min (28) sec M.S.T on 25th January, 2020.
