24-2-2026 According to the observations at 10:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over the Equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal has moved West-Northweatwards and intensified into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area and reached over the Southwest Bay of Bengal. It is likely continue to move West-Northwest during next 48 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the South Andaman Sea and North Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

          The water levels of Ayeyarwady River are forecast to rise above the present water levels by about (5-7) feet at Myitkyina, Bhamo, Shwegu, Katha and Thabeikkyin, and about (2-4) feet at Mandalay, Sagaing, Myinmu, Pakokku, Nyaung Oo, Chauk, Minbu, Magway, Aunglan and Pyay, and to fall below the present water levels by about (1-2) feet at Seiktha, Hinthada and Zalun.

          The water levels of Chindwin River are forecast to rise above the present water levels by about (5-7) feet at Hkamti, Homalin, Phaungpyin and Mawlaik, and about (3-5) feet at Kalewa, Minkin, Kani and Monywa.
