SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, Light rain have been isolated in Kachin State, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Northern Shan, Chin and Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were about March average temperatures in the whole country. The significant day temperatures were (40°C) each in Chauk and Bawlakhae, (39°C) each in Minbu, Aunglan, Pyay, Taunggu and Shwegyin.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is generally fair over the Central Bay and partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 18th March, 2017: Rains or thundershowers are likely to be isolated in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State. Degree of certainly is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Taninthayi Region, Northern Shan, Chin, Kayin and Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated rain or thundershowers in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State.
