27-5-2024:According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Severe Cyclonic Storm “REMAL” has crossed Bangladesh and adjoining West Bengal coasts (India), has  moved North-Northeastwards and weakened into a Cyclonic Storm “REMAL” and continuously  crossed to Bangladesh and adjoining West Bengal coasts between Sagar Island (India) and Khepupara, close to Mongla (Bangladesh).Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and strong to vigorous over the Eastcentral Bay. Weather is cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 27th June, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, scattered in Naypyitaw and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Bago Region and (Northern and Eastern)Shan, Chin, Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Rakhine and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar Waters. Wave height will be about (5-8) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State.
