8-9-2024:: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the Northwest and adjoining Central Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move nearly Northwards and may further intensify into a Depression over the Northwest Bay of Bengal (off North Odisha- Gangetic West Bengal Coast, India) during next 24 hours.Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

          The water levels may rise above the present water level by about (1-3) feet at Myitkyina, Bhamo, Shwegu and Katha, about (½-1) foot at Minbu, Magway, Aunglan,Pyay, Seiktha, Hinthada and Zalun, and may fall below the present water level by about (2-4) feet at Thabeikkyin, Mandalay, Sagaing, Myinmu,Pakokku, Nyaung Oo and Chaukof Ayeyarwady River.

          The water levels may rise above the present water level by about (1-3) feet at Hkamti, Homalin and Phaungpyin, and mayfall below the present water level by about (3-5) feet at Mawlaik, Kalewa, Minkin, Kani and Monywa of Chindwin River.

      The water levels may rise above the present water level by about (1½) feet at Kalay of Myittha River, about (1-2) feet at Hsipaw, Shwesaryan and Myitnge of Dokhtawady River,about(2-3) feetat Toungoo and Madauk of Sittaung River, about (2½) feet at Shwegyin of Shwegyin River, about (1-3) feet at Zaungtu and Bagoof Bago River, about (1-2) feet at Hpasawng and Hpaan of Thanlwin River, about (2) feet at Myawaddy of Thaungyin River, about (1-2) feet at Ngathaingchaung, Thabaung and Pathein of Ngawun River, about (1½) feet at Maubin of Toe River, about (1-2) feet at Paletwa and Kyauktaw of Kaletan River,  about (1) foot at Myauk U of Laymyo River and about (1½) feet at Bilin of Bilin River.
