27-7-2024: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the North Bay of Bengal and adjoining Costal areas of Bangladesh and Gangetic West Bengal, India intensified into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and cross Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining Jharkhand and North Odisha, India during next 12 hrs. Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

 

10 Days Water Level Forecast

Water level forecast for First (10) days of August 2020

          The water levels of Ayeyarwady River are forecast to rise above the present water levels by about (1-3) feet at Myitkyina, Bhamo, Shwegu and Katha, and to fall below the present water levels by about (2-3) feet at Thabeikkyin, Mandalay, Sagaing, Myinmu, Pakokku, Nyaung Oo and Chauk,  and to rise above the present water levels by about (½-1) foot at Minbu, Magway, Aunglan, Pyay, Seiktha, Hinthada and Zalun.

          The water levels of Chindwin River are forecast to rise above the present water levels by about (1-3) feet at Hkamti and Homalin, and to fall below the present water levels by about (2½-3½) feet at Phaungpyin, Mawlaik, Kalewa, Minkin, Kani and Monywa.
