SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, weather have been scattered in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Mandalay Region  and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in  Naypyitaw, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Rakhine and Mon States and isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Launglon (6.38)inches, Dawei (5.95)inches, Thandwe (5.71)inches, Taungkok (5.63)inches, Manaung (5.55)inches, Coco Island (4.01)inches, Yay (3.90)inches, Labutta (3.74)inches, Hainggyigyun (3.58)inches, Kalewa (3.38)inches, Phyarpon and Myeik (3.23)inches each, Kungyungon (3.15)inches, Maungdaw and Kyaukpyu (3.11)inches each, Thaton (3.07)inches, Kataingti (2.97)inches, Kyeikkhame (2.95)inches and Mawlaik (2.92)inches.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 1st AUGUST, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Magway Region and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Taninthayi Region, Rakhine and Mon States and isolated heavy falls in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin and Kayin States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (9 - 13) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Strong monsoon.
