SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Taninthayi Region and isolated in Mon State. Weather has been generally fair in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, Rakhine State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (3°C) above November average temperature in Mon State and (2°C) above November average temperature in Kayin State, (2°C) below November average temperatures in Kachin, Shan, Rakhine and Kayah States and about November average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (8°C) each in Heho, Loilin and Hakha, (9°C) in Putao. The noteworthy amounts of rainfalls recorded were Kawthaung (2.44)inches and Myeik (0.20)inch.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30) hrs MST today, the Low pressure area over the South Andaman Sea still persists. It is forecast to intensify into a depression during next (48)hrs. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 10th November, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region, scattered in Kayin and Mon States and isolated in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be generally fair in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate to rough sea are likely at times Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35)mph. Sea will be slight to moderate elsewhere in   Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (6-9)feet in Gulf of   Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and about (4-6) feet in Deltic and off and along  Rakhine Coasts.    

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of fairly widespread to scattered in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin and Mon States.

FORECAST FOR YANGON AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 10th November, 2018: Likelihood of isolated rain or thundershowers. Degree of certainty is (60%).

FORECAST FOR MANDALAY AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 10th November, 2018: Generally fair weather.

WEATHER OUTLOOK FOR WEEKEND: Likelihood of isolated rain or thundershowers in Yangon Region, weather will be partly cloudy in Naypyitaw and generally fair in Mandalay Region.
