7-9-2024:: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the Northwest and adjoining Central Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move nearly Northwards and may further intensify into a Depression over the Northwest Bay of Bengal (off North Odisha- Gangetic West Bengal Coast, India) on 8-9-2024.Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

Early Warning For Weather Events During Pre Monsoon Season

1. During the Pre Monsoon Season (from May to before the onset of Southwest Monsoon into Myanmar), strong wind accompanied with hails, thunder, lightning and isolated rain or thundershowers are likely in the afternoon or evening in the whole country due to the unstable air conditions and convective cloud by gradually rising day temperatures. Surface wind speed in strong wind may reach (35)mph to (40)mph.

2.  Public is advised to take necessary awareness with the weather events 
during the Pre Monsoon Season (from May to before the onset of Southwest 
Monsoon into Myanmar) and domestic airlines and cruises are also advised 
to take precautionary measures.
