6-1-2026: According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining east Equatorial India Ocean still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and intensify into a Depression over the Southwest Bay of Bengal during next 24 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea, North Bay and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
A slight earthquake of magnitude (4.6) Richter Scale with its epicenter inside Myanmar (about (16) miles northeast of Gangaw), latitude 22.32°N, longitude 94.33°E, depth (88) kilometers, about (52) miles east-southeast of Hakha seismological observatory was recorded at (23)hr (01)min (23)sec M.S.T on 23rd July, 2023.
