2-12-2025: According to the observations at 10:30 hrs MST today, the Deep Depression over the Westcentral Bay and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal, North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh coasts (India) has weaken into a Depression now lies over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining the Westcentral Bay, North Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and South Andhra Pradesh coasts (India) is centered at about 755 Nautical miles West of Coco Island(Myanmar), 70 Nautical miles North-Northeast of Puducherry (India) and 15 Nautical miles Southeast of Chennai(India). It is likely continue to move slowly Southwestwards towards the North Tamil Nadu-Puducherry coasts, India and weaken gradually into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area. Weather is cloudy over the Northwest and Westcentral Bay of Bengal and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Flood condition of Chindwin River

   According to the (10:30) hrs M.S.T observation today, the water level of Chindwin River at Phaungpyin has reached its danger level. It may continute to rise above the present water level by about (½) foot during the next (2) days and may remain above its danger level.

Advisory

    It is especially advertised to the people who settle near the river banks and low lying areas in Phaungpyin Township to take precaution measure.
