14-10-2024:According to the observations at (15:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over Southeast Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and further intensify into well marked low pressure area around 15-10-2024 and continue to move West-Northwestwards  and may reach to North Tamil Nadu and adjoining South Andhra Pradesh coasts, India around 17-10-2024. Weather is a few cloud over the Northeast Bay and party cloudy over the Eastcentral Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

  1. According to the observations at (09:30)hrs M.S.T today, due to the strong to vigorous monsoon over the Andaman Sea, South Bay, East central Bay and Northeast Bay of Bengal, rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread to widespread in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States with likelihood of regionally and isolated heavyfalls in some Regions and States with strong wind from today morning to (13.6.2023).
  2. Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (40) mph. Wave height will be about (9-12) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

Advisory

Due to the strong to vigorous monsoon, people should be awared heavy rain with strong wind, flash flood and landslide in the hilly areas and near small rivers and also domestic flight, trawlers, vessels and ships off and along Myanmar Coasts.
