 24-7-2025: According to the observations at 12:30 hrs MST today, the Low Pressure Area over North Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and further intensify into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining West Bengal, India and Bangladesh Coasts during next 24 hours. Thereafter, it is likely to move towards West Bengal and North Odisha Coasts, India during next 48 hours. Monsoon is vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

According to the observations at (11:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area has been crossing over Deltaic areas still persists. It is forecast to move North-Northwest wards.

General Caution

Due to the Low Pressure Area, rain will be fairly widespread to widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Shan, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, and Mon States with isolated heavy falls.

Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (9-12) feet in Myanmar Coasts.

Advisory

Strong wind and heavy rainfalls should be aware  people from coastal Rakhine and Deltaic areas. Trawlers, vessels and ships off and along Myanmar Coasts are adviced to avert this conditions.
