27-7-2024: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the North Bay of Bengal and adjoining Costal areas of Bangladesh and Gangetic West Bengal, India intensified into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and cross Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining Jharkhand and North Odisha, India during next 12 hrs. Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

Water Level  Forecast for June 2016

During the Month of June 2016, the water levels of Ayeyarwaddy River are forecast to rise above the present water levels about (7-9) feet at Myitkyina, Bhamo, Shwegu and Katha, about (6-7) feet at Thabeikkyin, Mandalay, Sagaing, Myinmu, Pakokku, Nyaung Oo, Chauk, Minbu and Magway, and about (4-5) feet at Aunglan, Pyay, Seiktha, Hinthada and Zalun although the rise of present water levels it may not reach their respective town danger levels.

The water levels of Chindwin River are forecast to rise above the present water levels about (10-12) feet at Hkamti, Homalin and Phaungpyin, and about (8-10) feet at Mawlaik, Kalewa, Minkin, Kani and Monywa, although the rise of present water levels it may not reach their respective town danger levels.

The water levels of Thanlwin River is forecast to rise above the present water level about (7-8) feet at Hpaan, the water levels of Sittoung River are forecast to rise above the present water levels about (3-5) feet at Taungoo and Madauk, the water levels of Dokhtawady River are forecast to rise above the present water levels about (1½) feet to (2½) feet at Hsipaw and about (8-9) feet at Shwesaryan and Myintnge, the water level of Shwegyin River is forecast to rise above the present water level about (4-5) feet at Shwegyin, the water levels of Bago River are forecast to rise above the present water levels about (8-10) feet at Zangtu and Bago, the water level of Ngawun River is forecast to rise above the present water level about (9-10) feet at  Ngathing-Chaung , although the rise of present water levels it may not reach their respective town danger levels.
