8-9-2024:: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Depression over Westcentral Bay and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal has moved North-Northwestwards. It is centered at about 370 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Sittwe, 440 Nautical miles West  of  Thandwe (Myanmar), 145 Nautical miles East of Kalingapatnam(India), 105 Nautical miles East-Southeast of Gopalpur, 100 Nautical miles South of Paradip and 190 Nautical miles South-Southwest of Digha. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

           During the month of September, the water levels may exceed one time each their respective town danger levels at Mawlaik, Kalewa, Minkin, Kani and Monywa of Chindwin River, at Pakokku, Nyaung Oo, Hinthada and Zalun of Ayeyarwady River, at Kalay of the Myittha River, at Myitnge of the Dokhtawady River, at Toungoo and Madauk of Sittoung River, at Shwegyin of the Shwegyin River, at Bago of the Bago River, at Hpaan of the Thanlwin River, at Myawady of the Thaungyin River, at Ngathaingchaung, Thabaung and Pathein of Ngawun River, at Maubin of Toe River and  at Bilin of the Bilin River  above their respective town danger levels respectively.
