27-7-2024: According to the observations at (13:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining North Odisha, India has weaken into a Low Pressure Area. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and weaken gradually. Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

Monthly Water Level Forecast for April

      During the Month of April, the water levels of Ayeyarwady River are forecast to rise above the present water levels by about (3-5) feet at Myitkyina, Bhamo, Shwegu, Katha, Thabeikyin, Mandalay, Sagaing and Myinmu, and about (2-3) feet at Pakokku, Nyaung Oo, Chauk, Minbu, Magway, Aunglan, Pyay, Seiktha, Hinthada and Zalun.

     The water levels of Chindwin River are forecast to rise above the present water levels by about (2-4) feet at Hkamti, Homalin and Phaungpyin, and about (1-2) feet at Mawlaik, Kalewa, Minkin, Kani and Monywa.
